Caring for a Toothache
Typically a toothache is an early indication of a larger dental problem. Sometimes the pulp of the tooth becomes infected and then an abscess can form. When this happens, the pain sometimes goes away. But the infection is still there and needs to be addressed. If this is the case, a root canal treatment is the solution.
Far too many people associate root canal treatments with pain, but with modern techniques the treatment is pain-free. Regardless, in your emergency appointment we will only be doing a quick procedure to get you out of pain, and we can make arrangements for the root canal treatment later.
